Richard Sherman and the Seattle Seahawks were not happy with the way the whistles went in their game against the New Orleans Saints. The Seahawks were flagged 11 times, while the Saints were just penalized twice.
Richard Sherman was the victim of a no-call this time and he didn’t like it
Sherman was not pleased with the officiating Sunday.

Pete Carroll went off on officials during the game, and after it ended, Sherman voiced his displeasure to the media.
Sherman had more to say, from The Seattle Times’ Bob Condotta:
“I don’t know what it is, but it’s real obvious to the outside world how the game was officiated. I don’t think they (referees) were trying to hide anything. I mean the calls — or the lack thereof — were pretty egregious. So we will let you guys decide that. All we can do is keep playing.
I have no idea (why calls are going against us). There have been a couple of games this year where the officials are like that and usually when it is like that; I mean even at home we rarely get calls but they don’t tear us apart.”
Sherman also had a big problem with a no-call that probably should have been offensive pass interference.
The Saints would then go on to drive for a field goal, extending their lead to 25-20. That would prove to make a big difference in the game, as the Seahawks were able to make it to New Orleans’ 10-yard line.
Sherman was not happy at all.
Instead of a game-winning field goal, the Seahawks were forced to go for a touchdown, which they came up short on after Jermaine Kearse was unable to get his feet down.
Sherman now finds himself on the other end of the officiating spectrum. Just two weeks ago, Sherman was not called for a pass interference against Julio Jones that helped them seal their victory over the Falcons.
This isn’t Sherman’s first criticism of officiating this season, either. After Seattle’s Week 4 win against the Jets, he felt that a pass interference call that should have gone on Brandon Marshall was called on him. From ESPN 710 in Seattle, he said, “I guess it’s an offensive game and that’s what they’re trained to do, but it’s unfortunate.”
With the loss, the Seahawks fall to 4-2-1, and missed out on a great opportunity to gain ground with their first-place standing in the NFC West.
