Joel Embiid was the victim of water bottle sabotage, and got soaked

Joel Embiid was drafted by the 76ers two years ago, and finally made his preseason debut this week. In a game Thursday night, though, he seemed to be quickly showing his inexperience.

But as it turns out, Embiid might just be a victim of a heinous act by a member of the 76ers he probably trusted implicitly until this moment — Franklin, the team’s mascot.

We have reached out to Franklin for an official statement.

While Embiid’s having an unfortunate time, at least his teammate Richaun Holmes enjoyed it.
