The Cincinnati Bengals ruled out Tyler Eifert for their Week 5 clash with the Dallas Cowboys. Eifert is recovering from offseason ankle surgery, though he had progressed enough that he was expected to return this week.
Tyler Eifert injury update: Bengals TE out vs. Cowboys
A setback in Tyler Eifert’s rehab will keep him from playing in Week 5.

However, Eifert suffered a back injury this past week that will keep him out for at least one more game. He now looks very questionable to miss Week 6 vs. the New England Patriots.
Fantasy Spin: Eifert is dangerously close to being cut-worthy right now, and with no clear return date in sight, cutting him may be a good move in smaller fantasy leagues, even though he led all tight ends with 13 touchdown catches in 2015.
Make sure you have one or two other tight ends on the roster to account for Eifert missing several more games. For the time being, C.J. Uzomah and Tyler Kroft are working in a committee approach in Cincinnati’s offense.
