To the fantasy owners who survived 12 teams on bye over weeks 8 and 9, good news — help is on the way. With just four teams taking a break in Week 10, and with several injured players on track to return, fantasy owners can breathe a little easier, even as their seasons evolve into must-win weeks down the stretch.
Fantasy football advice, Week 10: Who to start/sit for Houston Texans vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
Dan Ciarrocchi reviews who should be in fantasy lineups or on benches for Week 10’s AFC South clash.

When the Jaguars and Texans square off on Thursday night, a few notable fantasy options present themselves.
Houston Texans
Start ‘em
Lamar Miller had fantasy owners concerned after a shoulder injury limited the workhorse to 67 yards or less in each of his last two games. Miller is in store for a performance that ought to assuage his fantasy owners now that he returned to practice at full capacity on Friday and faces a Jaguars front seven that is allowing the eighth-most rushing yards per game. He’s a locked-in RB1.
Start ‘em?
The Jaguars pass defense leaves plenty to be desired, and with DeAndre Hopkins and Will Fuller handcuffed by the miserable play of Brock Osweiler, there isn’t much for fantasy owners of either receiver to get excited about. Both present the talent to rip off a long, fantasy-saving play each week, but banking on it is living dangerously. At this point, Hopkins clearly has a higher floor than Fuller, but both are nothing more than boom-or-bust flex options.
Sit ‘em
C.J. Fiedorowicz has emerged in 2016, but Week 10 presents a miserable matchup for him against a Jaguars defense that hasn’t allowed a touchdown to an opposing tight end since Week 2. Osweiler doesn’t deserve fantasy consideration in any format for Sunday and beyond.
Jacksonville Jaguars
Start ‘em
The Texans present a stiff challenge as a pass defense, but are a bottom-five defense against the run. Unfortunately, running the ball hasn’t been a strength for the Jaguars all season, but Week 9’s performance under new offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett was an encouraging development. It puts Chris Ivory and T.J. Yeldon into flex consideration, with Ivory being the preferred of the two.
Start ‘em?
Allen Robinson, despite having inconsistent outputs each week, is a solid WR2 because of his scoring upside. The Texans have surrendered just six passing touchdowns in 2016, so if Robinson finds the end zone, it will not have come easily.
Sit ‘em
While Robinson has the talent to capitalize in a poor matchup, it would be bold to assume Blake Bortles could do the same, given his poor season thus far. He, along with Julius Thomas and Marqise Lee, can remain on fantasy benches for Week 10. Allen Hurns would be an uninspiring flex play if he clears concussion protocol.
