To the fantasy owners who survived 12 teams on bye over weeks 8 and 9, good news — help is on the way. With just four teams taking a break in Week 10, and with several injured players on track to return, fantasy owners can breathe a little easier, even as their seasons evolve into must-win weeks down the stretch.
Fantasy football advice, Week 10: Who to start/sit for Dallas Cowboys vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
Dan Ciarrocchi reviews who should be in fantasy lineups or on benches for a Week 10 interconference matchup.

When the Cowboys and Steelers square off on Thursday night, a few notable fantasy options present themselves.
Dallas Cowboys
Start ‘em
Ezekiel Elliott and Jason Witten are every-week starters, even if the latter’s production fluctuates each week. That’s the nature of the beast for most fantasy tight ends, and Witten is no different, despite being able to boast a high ceiling in the twilight of his career.
Start ‘em?
Dak Prescott lit up the Browns, but the Steelers pose a far greater challenge. They have never allowed more than two passing touchdowns in one game, and they haven’t allowed a 300-yard passer since Week 3. Prescott has the talent to find the end zone enough to be fantasy relevant, but he has a lower floor than usual on Sunday. He is a fringe QB1/QB2.
Dez Bryant deserves consideration as a high-upside WR2, but his 1-19-0 line against a weak Browns defense warrants rightful hesitation from his fantasy owners.
Sit ‘em
The committee of Brice Butler, Cole Beasley, and Terrance Williams will be hard to trust for the Week 10 matchup.
Pittsburgh Steelers
Start ‘em
Ben Roethlisberger was shaky just two weeks removed from a torn meniscus, and a tough Ravens defense didn’t do him any favors in Week 9. Now Roethlisberger is off the injury report, which bodes well for the rest of the Steelers offense. Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell remain elite options at their respective positions and can be started in leagues of all formats.
Start ‘em?
Eli Rogers and Sammie Coates have upside with Darrius Heyward-Bey and Markus Wheaton out of action. However, fantasy owners would be taking quite a gamble, with Rogers’ production coming in the garbage time of Week 9 and with Coates having to rely on big plays for standalone fantasy value. Both can be considered risky flex options.
Sit ‘em
Cobi Hamilton, Jesse James, and Fitzgerald Toussaint can remain on benches across the fantasy spectrum. Ladarius Green is expected to see his first action in a Steelers uniform on Sunday, and while he isn’t start-worthy, he needs to be added in 12-team leagues.
