The playoff push gets more intense in Week 11, and fantasy owners have less and less room for error as the season goes on. More than ever, sleepers and busts need to be accounted for over the course of every game to avoid making a season-dooming mistake. When the Buccaneers square off against the Chiefs, several notable players who garner fantasy consideration need to be accounted for.
Fantasy football advice, Week 11: Who to start/sit for Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Kansas City Chiefs
Dan Ciarrocchi reviews who should be in fantasy lineups or benches for a Week 11 inter-conference matchup.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Start ‘em
Welcome back, Doug Martin. After a lengthy absence due to a hamstring injury, Martin didn’t light the world on fire in Week 10, but he did find the end zone and escaped without any setbacks. That’s all fantasy owners could have asked from him, and they should feel much better now that Martin is back on the RB2 radar against the Chiefs’ 27th-ranked run defense.
Mike Evans is an elite WR1, even with his “down” game in Week 10 where he posted just four catches for 66 yards. Evans leads the NFL in targets and receiving touchdowns and should not be benched under any circumstances. Cameron Brate, who has burst on the scene as the Buccaneers’ No. 2 option, can be considered a low-end TE1 for Week 11 and beyond.
Sit ‘em
Jameis Winston has a middling matchup with the Chiefs’ defense at hand, and though he has been known to rack up volume, fantasy owners can likely do better with a less volatile option for Week 11. Adam Humphries, Peyton Barber and Russell Shepard can remain on benches.
Kansas City Chiefs
Start ‘em
Spencer Ware is back in action, and though he faced a brick wall of a Panthers run defense in Week 10, he should have smoother sailing against the Buccaneers’ 25th-ranked run defense. With a patchwork receiving corps, the Chiefs will once again lean on Ware to move the chains, putting him in low-end RB1 territory. Travis Kelce remains a TE1, and Tyreek Hill had 11 touches in Jeremy Maclin’s absence. With Maclin ruled out again, Hill is worthwhile as an upside flex option.
Sit ‘em
Albert Wilson, Chris Conley and quarterback Alex Smith can remain on benches in all formats even with a plus matchup at hand. Charcandrick West needs to be owned by all Ware owners, but can safely remain out of lineups.
