Fantasy owners already had enough to deal with on Thanksgiving, whether it’s polarizing dishes, cliché racist uncles, or scalding themselves in the kitchen. So no one wants to add “being served a slice of awful fantasy lineup” to their list of gripes, which is completely understandable. So when the Packers take on the Eagles on Monday night, it’s best for fantasy owners to at least attempt avoiding that outcome.
Fantasy football advice, Week 12: Who to start/sit for Green Bay Packers vs. Philadelphia Eagles
Dan Ciarrocchi reviews who should be in fantasy lineups or on benches for Monday night’s showdown.

Green Bay Packers
Start ‘em
Aaron Rodgers remains an elite option at quarterback for fantasy purposes, and with the Packers being unable to run the ball in any capacity, he remains a top-three QB1 for the foreseeable future. The imbalance on offense propels Jordy Nelson to a locked-in WR1 status, and fantasy owners in need of an upside flex could do far worse than deploying Randall Cobb and Davante Adams, even against a capable Eagles defense. The volume should be there even if the efficiency isn’t, and after Jared Cook’s 6-105-1 line in Week 11, fantasy owners in a bind could do worse than plugging and playing Cook as a low-end TE1.
Sit ‘em
The Eagles don’t boast one of the NFL’s better run defenses, but the fact that they have surrendered just five touchdowns on the ground leaves little reason to believe in the Packers’ running backs for fantasy consideration. Ty Montgomery and newly acquired Christine Michael can remain on benches in all formats, though both are deserving of roster spots.
Philadelphia Eagles
Start ‘em
There isn’t a defense that is in more disarray than the Packers’ unit, who have surrendered back-to-back 40-point games to opponents. While Carson Wentz isn’t on the fantasy radar despite that fact, Jordan Matthews and Zach Ertz certainly are. With Ryan Mathews ruled out of action, Darren Sproles and Wendell Smallwood can be bumped up to RB2 consideration, though Sproles’ value is greater in PPR formats.
Sit ‘em
Even with the great matchup at hand, Wentz is better suited for benches with no teams having a bye in Week 12. He and the complementary Nelson Agholor and Dorial Green-Beckham can remain on benches.
