The Seattle Seahawks challenged a ruling by an official who said that a holding committed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers happened outside of the end zone.
Richard Sherman convinced Pete Carroll to challenge an end zone hold, and the Seahawks got a safety
A smart, smart challenge.

The spot of the foul is not normally reviewable, but it is now when it involves a scoring play like a safety. That rule change went into effect in 2016.
On the play, Bucs tight end Luke Stocker grabbed Seahawks linebacker Frank Clark right outside of the end zone. The pull down occurred in the end zone, resulting in the Seahawks getting a safety after the ruling on the field was overturned.
The best part about the entire thing? The challenge wouldn’t have even happened without the help of Richard Sherman, who convinced Pete Carroll to do so.
It’s knowledge of the game like this that helps the Seahawks remain one of the best teams in the NFL each season.
