Since the Dallas Cowboys’ 31-26 Thanksgiving Day victory over Washington, it appeared a rivalry was forming between Cowboys star wideout Dez Bryant and Washington defensive back Josh Norman. Since then, both players have backtracked, and Bryant said he regrets the incident.
Josh Norman backtracks on claim that Dez Bryant said ‘Where I’m from, we unload the clip’
Dez Bryant and Josh Norman both downplay their Thanksgiving Day feud.

Norman was also quick to defuse the situation in speaking to reporters on Monday.
“Nothing,” said Norman when asked how he felt about the postgame incident with Bryant. “It really wasn’t a situation. It was a game. We lost. They won. That was it.”
He also clarified comments that he made, specifically when he said that Bryant told him, “Where I’m from, we unload the clip.” Norman said Monday that Bryant did not say the phrase, and that Norman intended it as a metaphor to describe himself and how he’s going to put forth his best effort, according to the Washington Post.
Bryant was also quick to ease tensions in speaking to reporters Monday.
“I wish I never did what I did, but that’s OK because it’s over with now,” Bryant told SportsDay on Monday. “I’m not even focused on that. I’m not even fitting to open up another can. It’s all said and done. I wish I never done it. It happened. It’s over with.”
Bryant had tweeted as much on Thursday night, after apparently watching his interview on ESPN.
“I have nothing against that guy, I’m pretty sure he’s got nothing against me,” Bryant said. “This thing is much more bigger than me. I’m here to do my job. That’s what I’m going to continue to keep doing. I addressed that and that’s so far behind me right now.”
Bryant had three receptions for 32 yards in the game against Norman, and five catches for 72 yards total. This also isn’t the first time he’s taken a team-first approach on a matter this season.
When asked about his preference for Dak Prescott or Tony Romo as the team’s starting quarterback, he said, “As long as we’re winning, I don’t care [about stats]. Just because we’re winning. The chemistry is extremely crazy.”
It appears the rivalry de-escalated faster than it arose.
