If he keeps this up he might just earn himself a nifty nickname, but as for now we’ll just call him Mike Evans. “Disappointing” is a very polite way to describe his 2015 season. Those who drafted him then may prefer the term “nauseating.” The third-year receiver is having one hell of a bounce-back year. He is on pace to challenge the league record for targets in a season. He hasn’t had fewer than seven targets in any game and no fewer than 11 over the last nine weeks. With Vincent Jackson injured, there aren’t many other options in the Tampa passing attack and as long as Jameis Winston stays healthy, he’ll likely finish in the top 10 every week. If you can somehow wrestle him away from another manager, you’ll be looking forward to his two games against the Saints during the fantasy playoffs. The Winston/Evans stack could be the combo that wins numerous championships this season.

The byes are easier to deal with this week, but you’ll need to find replacements for T.Y. Hilton, Amari Cooper, Michael Crabtree, and a few other wideouts hovering around the top 20. This resulted in me ranking guys like J.J Nelson and Rishard Matthews in the top 50. Those digging deep for substitutes should eye games like ATL vs. PHI and CHI vs. TB for low-owned options like Adam Humphries, Mohamed Sanu, and Cameron Meredith. I also think Monday night’s game should feature strong performances by receivers and the Bengals take on the Giants. Conversely, I’m avoiding the Seahawks vs. Patriots game since it could end up being a low-scoring slog just as likely as it could be a shootout.
