The playoffs continue on Monday night for many fantasy leagues, and those owners don’t have any more room for error. Luckily, fantasy owners will have more than a few options to choose from in a showdown between two rivals who are trying to cement spots in the AFC playoffs. Let’s take a look:
Fantasy football advice, Week 14: Who to start/sit for Houston Texans vs. Indianapolis Colts
Dan Ciarrocchi reviews who should be in fantasy lineups or on benches for a matchup between two AFC South foes.

Houston Texans
Start ‘em
Only four teams have allowed more yards per carry than the Colts’ 4.5 mark, which would bode well for a healthy Lamar Miller. Unfortunately, Miller hasn’t been himself, especially after totaling just 18 yards against the Packers in a game where he missed snaps due to a rib injury. Miller is still worth a start in a plus matchup, but fantasy owners unfortunately have to deal with his volatility as usual. DeAndre Hopkins can also be penned in as a dicey flex option, but one with plenty of upside, as the talented wideout continues to play with subpar quarterbacking.
Sit ‘em
Brock Osweiler, Will Fuller, C.J. Fiedorowicz and the rest of the Texans’ role players can take a seat on fantasy benches, as fantasy owners likely won’t want to have to rely on the Texans’ offense for the first week of fantasy playoffs.
Indianapolis Colts
Start ‘em
The Texans’ pass defense remains one to be reckoned with, but the Colts’ passing game remains one of the league’s best when at its peak. Andrew Luck tallied a modest 252 passing yards, one touchdown and one interception when these teams met in Week 6, but his upside would make him difficult to bench. Luck somehow has just four 300-yard games in 2016, but fantasy owners can expect a decent floor for him, T.Y. Hilton, and Donte Moncrief, who has scored a touchdown in 6-of-7 games.
Start ‘em?
Frank Gore is still worthy of his RB2 status against the Texans’ 19th-ranked run defense, but it is one that hasn’t allowed more than 67 rushing yards to opposing running backs in five straight weeks. Gore will likely need to find the end zone for any hope of a double-digit performance, but his 108-yard performance against the Texans in October is reason for optimism.
Sit ‘em
Dwayne Allen, despite finding the end zone three times in Week 13, will be difficult to trust while sharing reps with Jack Doyle in a tough matchup. Both tight ends and Philip Dorsett can remain on benches.
