One of the few highlights during the Jacksonville Jaguars’ 2-10 season so far has been the play of third-year wide receiver Marqise Lee, who added another great play to his reel Sunday.
Marqise Lee makes leaping back shoulder grab for Jaguars
Marqise Lee added another highlight to his solid 2016 season.
Early in the second half, Lee hauled in a 34-yard pass from Blake Bortles in front of Minnesota Vikings cornerback Xavier Rhodes. While the pass was intended to be a back shoulder route for Lee, it came in high, forcing the receiver to make an acrobatic, spinning catch.
Lee struggled with injuries early in his career with the Jaguars, allowing Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns to step into the spotlight for Jacksonville. But Lee has reminded everyone why he was a second-round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.
With the reception, Lee eclipsed 100 receiving yards on the day, passing the mark for only the second time in his career. With more than 700 receiving yards on the year, Lee is now the leading receiver for the Jaguars.
