Russell Wilson wanted to play in snow, but now he’s throwing picks off Doug Baldwin’s head

The Packers have done this before, too.

Russell Wilson and the Seahawks came into Sunday’s game against the Packers hoping to wrap up the NFC West with a win. That has been far from the case, with the Seahawks down, 21-3, and Wilson not playing well.

Wilson’s been so bad, he’s completed 11 of 22 passes for 109 yards, and secured his first five-interception regular season game of his career. Coming into Sunday’s game, Wilson had thrown five interceptions all season. He matched his total through 12 games played in one.

His fourth interception wasn’t so much his fault. It was a bullet that bounced off the helmet of Doug Baldwin, and landed in the hands of Damarious Randall.

He’s probably lucky he didn’t get the conditions he was hoping for before the game. He said on Thursday, “We know it’s going to be a tough environment. We’re really looking forward to it,” Wilson said.

“We want a tough environment, we look forward to those types of situations and I’m hoping it’s coming down, I’m hoping it’s snowing. I’m hoping it’s kind of a downpour of snow. That would be great.”

Wilson had thrown four interceptions before against the Green Bay Packers in Seattle. In that game, Wilson and the Seahawks were able to overcome the turnovers for a 28-22 victory in the NFC Championship. Now, he’s eclipsed that.

On Sunday, the Seahawks haven’t been as fortunate, aside from the fact that it’s not snowing.
