Look, most people still think Stephen Curry is a lovable momma’s boy even though he’s one of the cockiest players in the NBA playing for the most arrogant team. Nothing wrong with that! But it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Curry hit a three on Tuesday, turned around to the Pelicans bench, and DAPPED UP ONE OF THEIR ASSISTANT COACHES.
Stephen Curry nailed a 3 and high-fived a Pelicans coach to celebrate
Curry is savage.

Honestly, it kind of is an asshole move, as much as we love it.
But Curry also knows that coach. It’s Darren Erman, who was an assistant at Golden State from 2010 to 2014 before being bizarrely fired for secretly recording conversations. That was Mark Jackson’s last season coaching the team, and many people have talked about how awful the coaching culture was that year. Erman landed on his feet, ended up as an assistant in New Orleans, and was right next to Curry.
“Obviously, I know him very well,” Curry told CSN Bay Area after the game. “He’s yelling out, ‘If he makes it, it’s a good shot. If he makes it, it’s a good shot,’ trying to encourage their defense. So I wanted a little praise for that good shot.”
THAT’S SO COCKY, AND YET I LOVE THIS SO MUCH ANYWAY. How Curry is still so likable given the stuff he pulls off is absolutely wild.
We already had one story today about a mole, at Wake Forest. I know you’re friends, but you might wanna turn that high five down next time, Darren.
