Jeff Hornacek made Knicks rookies run wind sprints during a timeout

And they said rookie hazing doesn’t exist.

This was odd. During a timeout in the first quarter of the Knicks’ Thursday matchup against the Warriors, head coach Jeff Hornacek made a few of his players run wind sprints along the baseline.

Yes, those are wind sprints.

The players running were each rookies: Ron Baker, Mindaugas Kuzminskas and Marshall Plumlee. The thought here is running keeps the younger players warm. Or maybe they didn’t grab his luggage from the plane fast enough. The world may never know
