It’s no secret that both the Dolphins and the Jets have given fantasy owners their share of headaches. But for the fortunate ones who have made it to the fantasy playoff semifinals, options do exist in Saturday night’s game to help fantasy owners make it to championship week. Let’s take a look.
Fantasy football advice, Week 15: Who to start/sit for Miami Dolphins vs. New York Jets

Miami Dolphins
Start ‘em
Jay Ajayi has a formidable matchup against a stout Jets front seven, but it’s a unit that was gashed by Carlos Hyde and company in Week 14’s win over the San Francisco 49ers. With Ryan Tannehill out of action, the run-heavy Dolphins could skew even more so to the ground game and would be wise to lean on their effective running back to move the chains. Ajayi remains a solid RB2.
Start ‘em?
Only seven teams have allowed more than the 23 touchdowns the Jets have surrendered through the air, but it doesn’t suggest that fantasy owners can trust the Dolphins’ receivers with Matt Moore at the helm. Jarvis Landry is a high-floor option against the Jets’ vulnerable secondary, whereas DeVante Parker’s inherent big play ability gives him the higher ceiling. But even in a great matchup, fantasy owners would be playing with fire relying on a receiving group that has been inconsistent all season and now has to do battle without its starting quarterback.
Sit ‘em
Moore, and his complementary receivers of Kenny Stills and Dion Sims would be better left on benches for the fantasy playoff semifinals.
New York Jets
Start ‘em
Should Matt Forte sit once again, Bilal Powell immediately enters the RB1 conversation. Powell put up a whopping 35 points in PPR formats in relief of Forte against the 49ers, and would draw a prime matchup against the NFL’s 30th ranked run defense. Even in standard formats, where Powell would have a lower ceiling, he is still worthy of RB1 consideration. If Forte does play, Powell would still be the preferred option over him.
Start ‘em?
Robby Anderson has emerged as new quarterback Bryce Petty’s go-to target. Leading the Jets with 23 targets over his last two outings, Anderson will be in play as a high-floor flex option in PPR formats.
Sit ‘em
Brandon Marshall owners haven’t seen a 100-yard outing from the veteran since Week 5, and Marshall also has just one touchdown over his last eight contests. There isn’t much reason to trust him in such a critical week of the fantasy season. He, Petty, and tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins can remain on benches.
