As far as bounce-back stretches go, Henrik Lundqvist’s could’ve been easier.
NHL scores 2016: Henrik Lundqvist ties a Dominik Hasek record in another turnaround win
Lundqvist is on the cusp of European NHL history.

The New York Rangers goalie was benched for four games last week due to poor performances, the longest benching streak of his career. In his first game back, he got leveled with a vicious hit. In his second game back in a hostile Nashville arena, Lundqvist held down the fort in a tight-knit shootout victory.
And for his latest trick, Lundqvist pulled off a similar feat. The Rangers earned their third straight win with Lundqvist back in the fold (and sixth in seven games) thanks to his 29 saves in a thrilling shootout win over the New Jersey Devils.
With the win, Lundqvist ties Dominik Hasek for the most wins (389) by a European-born goaltender in league history. Hard to imagine a better way for Lundqvist to earn the honor as he forcefully earns back his starting role.

Three Things We Learned
1. The Blue Jackets showed cracks ... and won anyway
Columbus hadn’t given up a third period goal all month. They gave up three of them on Sunday, blowing a two goal lead before taking it back and blowing that one as well to the Vancouver Canucks.
And yet, they won in overtime for the ninth straight time, giving coach John Tortorella the distinction of being the first American-born head coach to reach 500 wins. The Jackets remain inexplicable but fun.
2. DON’T PUT YOUR FOOD THERE
3. Patrik Laine is more and more Ovechkin-esque
Impact Moment
This deflection play by Ryan McDonagh and Derek Stepan to tie the game late was just sublime.
