Letting your arm hang is like a rite of passage for shooters worldwide. Once you’ve got enough confidence in your three-point jumpshot, you can let it hang from anywhere, anytime.
John Wall shot the most confident airball ever
Wall let his arm hang while shooting an airball three-pointer late in the fourth quarter.

But the most important piece to letting it hang is actually making the shot — the one piece to the puzzle Wizards guard John Wall left out.
With less than a minute remaining in Washington’s 107-105 loss to Indiana on Monday, Wall got an open look at the top of the key that could have cut the Pacers’ lead to just one. Unfortunately, the Wizards’ point guard left his jump shot short, and Indiana went on to secure a victory at home.
Wall is shooting the three ball at a .364 percent clip this season, the best in his career. But after shooting 4-for-4 from downtown in a win over Detroit, he’s missed the last seven three-point attempts in his last two games.
But the saying goes, “shooters keep shooting.”
