The Sixers need to solve their big-man puzzle
They can’t keep Nerlens Noel AND Jahlil Okafor.

The Sixers have a problem. OK, they have a lot of problems, but the biggest issue they have is too many big men on the roster. This has been brewing for a while, and Nerlens Noel brought it to a froth with his recent comments about his lack of playing time.
On the latest Drive & Kick podcast, we discuss how they can rid of their glut of big men. Whom do you trade, and what can you reasonably expect to get back? We found a few homes for Noel, but Gonz is really down on Jahlil Okafor. (Flanns thinks he can be salvaged in the right spot.)
Really, this is just an excuse to talk about Sam Hinkie.
Also on the pod:
- The change to All-Star voting that involves the media is problematic, and Flanns is not a fan. There are too many potential conflicts.
- Let the fans vote for the starters. It’s fun.
- You know who really should vote? Advance scouts, assistant GMs, and video interns.
- Video Intern Awards! Let’s make it happen.
- We give out holiday gifts for NBAers, including a new team for Anthony Davis, a blockbuster for the Celtics, some chill for Boogie Cousins, and a third finals matchup for the Warriors and Cavs.
- Shocking animal interlude: Gonz is confused by beavers.
