The Clippers led the Spurs by 10 with 20 seconds left on Thursday. Garbage time. L.A. was set to inbound after a Pau Gasol free throw.
Wesley Johnson personally gave up 2 baskets in 3 seconds
I’m not even mad. That’s amazing.

Just get the ball into the point guard, and the game’s over. Gregg Popovich is a reasonable man, he probably wouldn’t even tell his team to foul in that situation.
Instead, Wesley Johnson did ... this.
In 2.8 seconds of game time, Wesley Johnson committed two turnovers. In 2.8 seconds of game time, the Spurs’ Kyle Anderson recorded two points, one assist and two steals.
Mo Speights, of all people, finally replaced Johnson as the designated inbounder and, lo, got the ball into Raymond Felton. But now it was a two-possession game instead of a double-digit deficit, so the Spurs fouled and extended the game. The Clippers held on.
This was a mighty impressive win, especially considering the absence of Blake Griffin and a hamstring injury that knocked Chris Paul out of the second half. But even in victory, the Clippers still Clipper. It’s who they are.
