Aaron Rodgers came through with a fantasy championship performance in Week 16. He threw for four touchdowns and 347 yards. In addition, he didn’t show any lingering issues with his leg and ran for a touchdown. For those playing for a trophy in Week 17, Rodgers is a safe bet. Green Bay is playing for a shot at the playoffs and Detroit will probably be without their top corner. The weather won’t be a factor, since the game will be played inside Ford Field.
Fantasy football rankings, Week 17: Quarterbacks
The SB Nation fantasy team reveals which quarterbacks rank in the top 25 heading into Week 17.

Week 16 was a disaster for fantasy quarterbacks on the injury front. Derek Carr and Marcus Mariota suffered broken legs and will not return this season. Both should be ready to start the 2017 season but may start training camp on the PUP list. Matt McGloin will start for Oakland in Week 17 against Denver and should be avoided. Matt Cassel will start for Tennessee in Week 17 against Houston and should also be avoided.
Bryce Petty has been placed on IR with a shoulder injury. Ryan Fitzpatrick will start in Week 17 against Buffalo. Robert Griffin III suffered a concussion and is doubtful to play in Week 17. Cody Kessler will probably start against Pittsburgh in Week 17. Ryan Tannehill is still recovering from his ACL/MCL sprains and looks doubtful to return before the playoffs.
My sleeper for Week 17 is Landry Jones. This pick is obviously contingent on Big Ben being rested for the season finale against Cleveland. Jones wasn’t a disaster in his lone spot start of 2016, when Roethlisberger was out with his knee injury. Jones threw for 281 yards and a touchdown against New England. He’ll probably be without Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell, but the Steelers’ skill-position depth is excellent. They should provide Jones with enough firepower to score some fantasy points. I think he’ll pass for 270 yards and two touchdowns against Cleveland.
