The Minnesota Vikings announced on Friday afternoon that Adrian Peterson would not be playing in their Week 17 matchup against the Chicago Bears.
Adrian Peterson ruled out for Vikings’ Week 17 game vs. Bears
It’s possible Peterson has played his last game as a Viking.

Peterson is dealing with knee and groin injuries. He came back in Week 15 from a torn meniscus that he suffered in Week 2, but missed Week 16’s game against the Packers.
In the three games Peterson played this season, he accumulated 72 yards on 37 carries with no touchdowns.
In his career, he’s rushed for 11,747 yards and 97 touchdowns. He’s given the Vikings some great years, with the team going to the postseason four times in his 10 seasons.
Questions have been raised as to whether or not Peterson has played his last game for the Vikings. He’s going to be 32 next year, and his cap hit is $18 million, making him the highest-paid running back in the league.
The Vikings could cut him with no impact on their cap, which is another contributing factor into raising the question in regards to his future.
