Austin Rivers and Doc Rivers ejected within minutes of each other
Like father, like son.
Things are always worse when you’re losing. That rang true in the second quarter of Friday night’s matchup between the Los Angeles Clippers and Houston Rockets when officials ejected both Doc and Austin Rivers.
Austin Rivers was gathering himself after a layup attempt when he seemed to inadvertently bump into the baseline referee, who then immediately ejected him from the game. He left the court heated, spewing expletives on his way to the locker room. He exited with nine points on three-for-eight shooting along with three assists.
Moments later, Doc Rivers was ejected after walking onto the court during a timeout having words with another official.
Like father, like son.
