NHL Thursday: Phil Kessel sinks the Red Wings with two goals

When the Penguins started ticking upwards a few weeks ago, some skepticism was probably healthy. But I think their continued strong play without Malkin is the final proof we need to know the Penguins are back to normal.

Bad things happen.

Line changes happen so often in hockey, you’d think every NHL player would have mastered the art of it. Swing one leg over, plant the foot in the ice and swing the other leg over.

Like learning how to walk, really. Sometimes line changes are hard, though.

Referees in every sport put up with a crazy amount of verbal abuse on any given night. But even they have a breaking point, apparently.

How he didn’t pull a groin there is beyond me. Minutes earlier, he should’ve torn a labrum or something trying to make a flashy glove save.
