This space is going to be used to give you the five best plays for the games on Sunday, March 13.
So, with that, let’s get started.
1. Carmelo Anthony, SF, Knicks ($8,900)
Anthony is averaging a ridiculous 38 minutes per game since the All-Star break and gets to take on a hapless Lakers defense on Sunday. Even better: New York had a day off on Saturday and was already in LA following its matchup against the Clippers. Only the Rockets allow opposing small forwards to score more FanDuel points per game (via RotoWire), which makes this matchup a great one for Anthony.
2. Gordon Hayward, SF, Jazz ($6,900)
Hayward and the Jazz travel to Sacramento on Sunday, where they'll get to face a Kings team that should always be targeted. The Kings lead the league in pace and can't stop anyone. That should lead to lots of points for Hayward, the Jazz's leading scorer and all-around dynamo who's averaging 20 points, five rebounds and nearly four assists for a Utah team that normally walks the ball up the court.
3. Jabari Parker, PF, Bucks ($6,800)
Quietly, Parker has started to play like the player everyone thought he was when the Bucks made him the No. 2 pick last season. He's averaging 21.1 points, 6.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.4 steals since the All-Star break. Milwaukee faces the Nets on Sunday, a struggling defensive team allowing a ton of FanDuel points to opposing power forwards.
4. Shelvin Mack, PG, Jazz ($4,300)
Mack has been fantastic since being acquired by the Jazz. He’s averaging 11.7 points, 4.2 assists and 3.2 rebounds over 11 games. He now sees about 30 minutes every night and on Sunday faces a Kings team that, as mentioned above, is always worth targeting in FanDuel. He won’t put up huge numbers, but you won’t find better value anywhere.
5. Jerryd Bayless, PG, Bucks ($4,200)
Bayless has become a major part of the Bucks' rotation since Michael Carter-Williams went down, and he's rewarding Milwaukee for its faith. He's played at least 38 minutes in each of his past three games, and while his numbers haven't been great, at some point you have to assume he'll get hot. Anyway, it's not every day you find a 40-minute player available for so little cash. When you do, it's always worth taking a flyer.
