Stop giving athletes insufferable farewell tours

If the season-long retirement tours of Mariano Rivera, Derek Jeter and Kobe Bryant have proven anything, it’s that we’ve already seen enough of an athlete after 20 years. The rich and famous hardly need more gifts and attention.
