Neither No. 1 Oregon nor No. 2 Oklahoma has been to the Final Four in at least a decade. On Saturday afternoon in Anaheim, they'll play for the right to change that fact in the West Regional Final of the 2016 NCAA Tournament.

Oregon and Oklahoma are each looking to return to the Final Four after substantial droughts.
The Ducks have made good on what was the most controversial No. 1 seeding of this year's edition of March Madness, thumping No. 16 Holy Cross, escaping No. 8 Saint Joseph's, and pulling away from No. 4 Duke to get to their first Elite Eight since 2007. They're led by Dillon Brooks, who put up 22 points and six assists against the Blue Devils on Thursday, and he's played well enough for Mike Krzyzewski to use his level of play as an excuse to admonish him for perceived poor sportsmanship after hitting a meaningless three late in Oregon's win over the defending national champions.
No. 2 Oklahoma might have the nation's best player in Buddy Hield, who certainly qualifies as one of college basketball's most explosive and entertaining presences. But Hield wasn't the star on Thursday as the Sooners took down No. 3 Texas A&M: his 17 points made him their second-leading scorer behind point guard Jordan Woodard, who chipped in 22. Oklahoma's 14-point win over the Aggies, in which the Sooners never trailed after the under-12 media timeout in the first half, was arguably its easiest of the NCAA Tournament, given how tight its first-rounder against No. 15 Cal State Bakersfield was until the final minutes and how close No. 7 VCU game to springing an upset in the round of 32.
For Oregon, a Final Four trip would be the program’s first since winning the first NCAA Tournament in 1939. For Oklahoma, in its first Elite Eight since Blake Griffin’s heyday in 2009, a first Final Four since 2002 is on the line.
