March Madness 2016 times and TV schedule: East, Midwest Regions wrap Elite 8

Better find TBS on your channel guide.

The 2016 NCAA Tournament is down to its last two games prior to the Final Four, and both of Sunday's Elite Eight games will be a showcase for the ACC.

With No. 1 Virginia meeting No. 10 Syracuse in the Midwest Region’s final and No. 1 North Carolina taking on No. 6 Notre Dame for the rights to the East Region’s Final Four berth, this will be the first day in history in which one conference has supplied all four Elite Eight participants.

The top seeds are, somewhat unsurprisingly, the favorites in those games, and each has beaten its lower-seeded foe this year. Virginia beat Syracuse, 73-65, in the teams' only regular-season meeting, getting balanced scoring in a home win. The Tar Heels handed the Irish their worst loss of 2015-16 in the ACC Tournament, a 31-point defeat that also counted as revenge for a four-point loss in South Bend.

Furthermore, Virginia and North Carolina entered Sunday in the top five of Ken Pomeroy’s efficiency rankings, while Syracuse and Notre Dame were both outside the top 25.

Sunday’s games will be aired by TBS, not CBS, as part of the contract of the CBS/Turner broadcast partnership that will air the NCAA Tournament until 2024. Beginning in 2016, TBS will handle the Sunday regional finals and the national final in even-numbered years, with CBS broadcasting the Saturday Elite Eight games and the Final Four’s national semifinals.

Here are the times and TV schedule for Sunday’s Elite Eight games.
