NCAA Women’s basketball tournament 2016: Times, TV schedule and live stream for Monday

UConn will try to follow up a historic blowout with a Final Four berth.

No. 1 UConn blew out No. 5 Mississippi State by 60 in a Sweet Sixteen game Saturday, then had coach Geno Auriemma spend part of his Sunday defending his dominant program. On Monday, the unbeaten Huskies will look to avoid the upsets that have befallen much of the rest of the field in the women's 2016 NCAA Tournament.

The good news for UConn is that Monday’s games feature the teams from the side of the bracket that has been far less chaotic: the Huskies face off with No. 2 Texas in the Bridgeport Regional Final in the night’s early game, and then No. 1 Baylor meets No. 2 Oregon State in the nightcap in the Dallas Region’s ultimate game. Three of those four teams have previously won national titles, with Oregon State being the only exception, though Texas last made it to a national semifinal in 2003, and hasn’t won it all since 1986 — in Auriemma’s first year at Connecticut, and before any of Pat Summitt’s eight national titles at Tennessee.

And while the Huskies and Bears would appear to be heavy favorites to move on and meet in Indianapolis, UConn is an especially heavy one because of history. That 60-point trampling of Mississippi State on Saturday broke the Huskies’ own record for margin of victory in a game in the Sweet Sixteen or later — which they set against Texas in the Sweet Sixteen in 2015.

Here are the times and TV schedule for Monday’s Elite Eight games in the NCAA Women’s Tournament. Times are Eastern, and both games are available for online streaming via WatchESPN or the ESPN app.

Bridgeport Region Regional Final
No. 1 UConn 86, No. 2 Texas 65

Dallas Region Regional Final
No. 2 Oregon State 60, No. 1 Baylor 57
