Maryland vs. North Carolina, 2016 NCAA Lacrosse Championship: Time, TV schedule and live stream
Maryland is in the championship game for the second year in a row, while North Carolina is here for the first time since 1993.

The Terrapins, looking for their first championship since 1975, are in the title game for the second year in a row. They made it to the final round after a thrilling 15-14 overtime victory over No. 5 Brown. Colin Heacock and Dylan Maltz led the way with three goals each, with Heacock scoring the winning goal in overtime. Maryland will be hoping for a better performance than last year’s title game, in which it fell 10-5 to No. 4 Denver.
The Tar Heels also suffer from a long drought having not won the trophy since 1991. An unseeded team entering the tournament, North Carolina beat No. 6 Marquette in the quarterfinals before knocking off No. 7 Loyola (MD), 18-13, in the semifinals. Chris Cloutier had a monster performance in the game, scoring nine goals on 13 shots. The last time North Carolina made the championship game was in 1993, when it dropped a close game, 13-12, to No. 3 Syracuse.
North Carolina and Maryland also have a history in women’s lacrosse -- their women’s teams just met on Sunday, with the Tar Heels winning 13-7. Their male counterparts will hope to complete the lacrosse sweep this season.
