HOPE YOU DIDN’T HAVE TO GET UP EARLY

Doesn’t it feel like every other game of these Stanley Cup playoffs heads to overtime? I’m not complaining; we were gifted with two of the most exciting games of the spring on Thursday, and both needed extra frames to decide them.

Dallas finally figured out that they’re hard to beat if they get some decent goaltending. Behind a season-saving effort from goalie Kari Lehtonen, the Stars held on to beat St. Louis in overtime and tie the series.

That overtime game was short compared to the epic spun in Nashville. Between Pekka Rinne and Martin Jones, it was a goaltending performance unlike any we’ve seen in the playoffs so far. And after three overtimes, Mike Fisher finally carried his team to victory.

SID vs. OVI UPDATE

Stop it.

WAIT, THEY DID WHAT?

The Stars had six players on the ice and still let Vladimir Tarasenko score.

JACK ADAMS TIME

Your NHL coach of the year finalists are Lindy Ruff, Barry Trotz and Gerard Gallant.
