Kentucky Oaks day results 2016: Live coverage of Friday’s races at Churchill Downs

The Kentucky Oaks at 5:49 p.m. Friday may be the feature, but a full day of racing, including six stakes races in total, will keep horse racing fans excited.

Jamie Rhodes-USA TODAY Sports

Welcome to Kentucky Oaks Day! The Friday before the Kentucky Derby is the day Churchill Downs goes pink. The track is decorated in pink bunting, fans are asked to wear pink, and money is raised to help fight against breast and ovarian cancers. A slate of 12 races, many prominently featuring fillies, runs from 10:30 a.m. until nearly 6:30 p.m, culminating with the Kentucky Oaks at 5:49 p.m.

You can watch live coverage of Oaks day on NBCSN beginning at noon or stream it online from NBC Sports Live Extra.

But we’ve got you covered here at SB Nation, too, and will update this post throughout the day with all the results.
