A week after his passing, Muhammad Ali was buried on Friday, as part of a two-day funeral he’d reportedly planned prior to his death. For 18 miles, a motorcade drove through the streets of Louisville, and during the procession, fans ran alongside the cars as a tribute to the late boxer.

Will Smith, who portrayed Ali in the 2001 film, was in one of the cars, and greeted fans during the trip:

After his burial at Cave Hill Cemetery, a memorial service was held at KFC Yum! Center with a number of speakers sharing their favorite stories and recounting his life. Billy Crystal was among them, telling great stories mixed in with some classic jokes about their friendship during a wonderful eulogy.
