Indians pitcher threw a curveball so nasty even he didn’t expect to get the strikeout

For some reason, Trevor Bauer was surprised this curveball went for a strikeout. Home plate umpire Ted Barrett didn’t take too long in calling it an out, and Indians catcher Chris Gimenez didn’t need to move his glove down a whole heck of a lot to get the call. Yet, here we are, looking at a confused young starter, who can’t figure out why he got so lucky.
To be fair, even Logan Forsythe, the unfortunate victim, didn’t think it was an out. Rather than leave, he relaxed and adjusted his belt. He wasn’t expecting that call and immediately looked at Barrett on his way back to the dugout, before glancing at the replay with a “what the heck just happened” look on his face.
Perhaps the best part in all this, though, was Bauer’s face when Barrett called the pitch -- which was a strike -- a strikeout. That look is priceless. Bauer has a nasty curveball, but he may have just outdone himself this time.
