All around the country, there are hundreds of thousands if not millions of twenty-somethings forgoing the idea leaving the nest and staying home with their parents instead.
Jeff Teague moved into the basement of his parents’ house after trade to Indiana
Teague is going back home in more ways than one.

They’re doing it to save some money for the future, but among all of those who are doing this, there aren’t that many millionaires. But new Indiana Pacers guard Jeff Teague is an exception.
Teague, an Indiana native who was traded during the offseason, plans to move back home to his parents’ basement.
The news was a surprise to Fox Sports 97.5 in Indianapolis, who introduced that idea as a joke, but they quickly realized that Teague was serious.
“I bought a home here some years back, and when I re-signed back with Atlanta, I just decided that I was going to live in Atlanta. And I just gave the house to my mom and dad. And now, I sold my house in Atlanta, so I’m moving back. So now I’m gonna live in my old house with my mom and dad.”
For what it’s worth, Teague is technically living with them even though he was the one who bought the house. But he can’t exactly ask for the house back. And since games end fairly late — with press conferences only extending their bedtime — we hope he’s able to sneak back in the house and back into the basement without waking his folks up in the middle of the night.
Having said that, we’re looking forward to seeing how he redecorates the basement.
