Georgia might be the hottest recruiting team in the country right now, and a large reason why is the presence of four-star quarterback Jake Fromm in their 2017 class. Fromm flipped from Alabama to Georgia back in March, and since then the Dawgs have gone up to the No. 3 rated class in the 247 Composite rankings, behind only Ohio State and Alabama.
Georgia QB commit Jake Fromm says Kirby Smart opened the door for his flip from Alabama
We caught up with one of the Dawgs’ star recruits at the Elite 11 showcase at The Opening.

Speaking with SB Nation from at the Elite 11 showcase at The Opening in Oregon, Fromm talked about how Kirby Smart’s move from Alabama to Georgia was key for him making the switch, and how he isn’t afraid of competition from Georgia’s 2016 five-star quarterback, Jacob Eason. Fromm also said that he grew up rooting for Georgia, and how it was where he always wanted to be.
Fromm is rated as the No. 3 pro-style quarterback in the nation according to the 247 Composite Index, the No. 3 overall player in the state of Georgia, and the No. 41 overall player in the 2017 class. The Warner Robins (Ga.) Houston County star already has big-time measurables, standing 6’2.5 and weighing in at 224 pounds while still in high school.
