USA vs. Nigeria 2016 live stream: Time, TV schedule and how to watch USMNT online
Team USA takes on Nigeria in its final pre-Olympics exhibition.
Monday's game will be televised by NBA TV and streamed online through USA Basketball on Facebook.
These exhibitions were supposed to just be a series of warm-ups for Team USA, but the main takeaway has been how ridiculously overpowered the team is. Blowout wins over China (twice) and Venezuela were never even close, and it's become hard to fathom how another country could actually pull off the upset and win gold in Rio. Team USA, even without LeBron James, Chris Paul, Stephen Curry and others, remains an unstoppable juggernaut in international hoops.
Nigeria will be the next victim on Monday at the Toyota Center in Houston. The team has a pair of NBA players in Blazers forward Al-Farouq Aminu and Pistons 2016 second-round pick Michael Gbinije, but won't stand much of a chance against Kevin Durant, DeMarcus Cousins and company.
This is going to be the common theme for pretty much every game Team USA plays in: Can the opponent overcome a complete disadvantage in talent? Unlike in past years when Spain and Argentina were real threats, they’re not looking as strong this cycle. Lithuania and France seem like the teams best equipped to give the Americans a tough time.
But for now, Team USA is going to focus on crushing Nigeria on its home soil, then keep getting ready for Rio. If the past three exhibitions were any indication, this won’t be close.
