Rio 2016 live stream: Time, TV schedule and how to watch NBC’s prime time Olympics coverage online

Nathan Adrian’s gold medal defense highlights another busy night in Rio.

NBC’s prime time coverage of the 2016 Olympics in Rio continues Wednesday night with Nathan Adrian looking to defend his title in one of swimming’s biggest events. The American won gold in the 100-meter freestyle four years ago in London, and will look to do the same in the final in Rio.

Adrian finished first in the event at the U.S. national team trials last month, so he’s riding some momentum into the pool Wednesday night. If he pulls off the victory, he’ll be the first American man to win back-to-back golds in the 100 freestyle since Johnny Weissmuller in 1924 and 1928.

Swimming is where the medals will be handed out, but the rest of the night features some exciting action. In beach volleyball, the American twosome of Kerri Walsh Jennings and April Ross will face Switzerland’s Isabelle Forrer and Anouk Verge-Depre in their final preliminary match. Soccer will see Neymar and Brazil take on Denmark in their final group stage match, while the Brazilians’ gold medal defense in women’s volleyball continues with a match against Japan.

It’s shaping up to be another exciting night in Rio, so here are the notable events and how to watch them live via NBC Sports:

Key prime time events on Aug. 10
Beach volleyball (women’s): Walsh Jennings/Ross (USA) vs. Forrer/Verge-Depre (Switzerland), 8 p.m.
Swimming: Night session including men’s 100m freestyle final, 9 p.m
Soccer (men’s): Brazil vs. Denmark, 9 p.m.
Volleyball (women’s): Brazil vs. Japan, 9:30 p.m.
