Though things looked a little iffy against Switzerland, Kerri Walsh Jennings managed to emerge with a perfect record in Olympic play -- 21 matches, 21 wins. Her new partner, April Ross (whom Walsh Jennings and Misty May-Treanor beat in the 2012 gold medal match), was named FIVB’s Best Server in 2011, 2012, and 2015, and the two have looked solid in early competition.

Winning gold in Rio would make Kerri Walsh Jennings the first Olympian in either indoor or beach volleyball to claim that prize four times.
