It’s the final day of judo at the 2016 Olympics and that means it’s time for the heavyweights. The men’s 100-plus kilogram and women’s 78-plus kilogram weight classes will compete Friday in Rio at the Carioca Arena 2. It’s the same set-up as all the other days, with prelims and quarterfinals in the morning before the repechage, semifinals and medal matches in the afternoon.
Olympic judo 2016 live stream: Time, TV schedule and how to watch Friday’s matches online
Teddy Riner goes for back-to-back Olympic gold medals in heavyweight judo.

NBC Sports will be streaming all of that action live, starting at 9 a.m. ET with the men’s and women’s prelims and quarterfinals. At 2:30 p.m. ET, those who advanced from the morning session will compete to earn medals.
The big favorite for the men’s 100-plus kg weight class is French judoka Teddy Riner, who is currently ranked No. 1 in the world. Riner won the gold medal at the 2012 Olympics in London and the bronze medal at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. He’s still in his prime at 27 years old and should be the man to beat in Rio.
There are no Americans participating on Friday, as the six members of the U.S. Olympic judo team have already competed.
This is one of the rare chances to watch the world’s best judokas, as the sport rarely gets airtime outside the Olympics, so it’s a good time to tune in, especially to catch Riner. NBC Sports will have coverage of the whole day of action. Here’s how to watch:
