The Green Bay Packers’ top receiving threat, Jordy Nelson is expected to return to the field for the first time in almost a year Monday, according to head coach Mike McCarthy. Nelson sat out all last season after tearing his ACL on Aug. 23. The Pro Bowler was activated from the physically unable to perform list Wednesday and will only run individual drills with QB Aaron Rodgers initially. There is no word from the Packers camp if Nelson will see any preseason action. Nelson will get three full weeks of practice leading into the Packers season opener in Jacksonville.

Jordy Nelson returns to the field for individual drills with Aaron Rodgers. We look at fantasy implications.

Fantasy Spin:
Nelson is one of Aaron Rodgers’ favorite targets on the field. It is always hard to predict how a player will perform following severe injury however, expect Rodgers to look for Nelson if he is on the field. That plus Nelson’s experience and natural talent means the reward should out way the risk. Expect Nelson to go late first round or early second.
