Chance the Rapper’s #SoGoneChallenge has done a number of wonders over the past couple of weeks. For one, it meant Chance got to introduce a sweet, new verse he wrote that he dedicated to his partner:
In case you forgot Rasheed Wallace can rap, here’s his ‘So Gone Challenge’ video
Sheed!

Plus, it re-introduced fans to Monica’s “So Gone,” whose sales reportedly went up thanks to Chance. But most importantly, people are stepping up to the #SoGoneChallenge, posting their own verses over the song’s instrumental. Recently, Rasheed Wallace put out his own take, and boy howdy, it’s excellent.
It’s not like Wallace hasn’t rapped before — for instance, here’s him doing Raekwon’s “Verbal Intercourse” before a Pistons game:
And here’s him freestyling:
I will admit I had no idea Wallace had it in him before hearing his #SoGoneChallenge, but a) I’m glad I know now, because he’s excellent, b) it’s a great way to get stuck inside a YouTube rabbit hole featuring Rasheed Wallace rapping and c) it’ll likely mean he’ll make more rap music in the future. Hopefully, he and Damian Lillard (who also participated in the challenge) can collaborate on something.
And now, here’s Dwyane Wade’s #SoGoneChallenge entry. It’s ... uhh ... yeah:
