The Minnesota Vikings activated tight end Rhett Ellison from the PUP list on Tuesday. Ellison is coming off a torn patellar tendon in his right knee that he suffered in the last week of the 2015 season.
Rhett Ellison activated from PUP list, fantasy value still very low
The Vikings tight end is back after needing knee surgery last season, we break down the fantasy implications

In 2016, Ellison figures to be among a group of four tight ends for the Vikings that includes Kyle Rudolph, MyCole Pruitt and rookie David Morgan.
Fantasy Impact: Ellison’s impact on the stat sheet has been pretty low throughout his career. Considering the most touchdowns he has ever caught in a single season is just one, he would most likely be an option for a fantasy owner if every other tight end in the league is injured.
His impact on other fantasy players may actually be higher than his own. When Minnesota has Ellison in the lineup, he basically acts as an extra offensive lineman, clearing the way for Vikings’ running back Adrian Peterson to find the end zone.
