The Raptors’ alternate uniform unveiling features dragons and DOGRAPTORS
SO METAL!

The Toronto Raptors might only date back to 1995, but the origins of basketball in the city run far deeper. The team is honoring those roots during the 2016-17 season with throwbacks for the Toronto Huskies, who played in the NBA from 1946-47 before disbanding.
It took a long time for basketball to return, but the Huskies weren’t forgotten. The Raptors will be sporting these this season:
That’s a pretty dang good throwback. It’s simple, but the best ones are. It’s almost a complete recreation of the original Huskies’ uniform. One thing that fell by the wayside, however, was the “tired doggy” logo the team used to have.
Instead it’s been replaced with a 2016 version that is PURE METAL!
Look at that friggin’ thing. It’s like a husky and raptor became friends and went bone chompin’ together. It’s the back piece your uncle got in 1987 after a Whitesnake concert.
The Raptors also unveiled a Chinese New Year themed jersey, which is pretty incredible too.
Heck yeah dragons have claws too! This is ABSOLUTELY the uniform House Targaryen will wear in the Westerosi rec league.
