Foul liner terrifies fan sitting behind home plate

Sitting behind home plate at a baseball game is usually a safe location. Outside of the rare freak accident, the netting does a good job of protecting those spectators from foul balls. That doesn’t mean those foul balls aren’t still rocketing toward the spectators until they hit the net. And it’s only natural to have some reaction to a baseball flying at your face.

This fan at the Phillies game certainly had a reaction.

A lot of fans’ instincts take over on line drives to the net. Few, however, react quite like that. On the bright side, the net did its job and the fan was able to have a great laugh afterward.
