Robert Hanashiro-USA TODAY Sports

Beach volleyball takes center stage at the 2016 Olympics on Sunday as several key matches will go down in Rio. Fans will have tons to watch as both the men and women play preliminary matches, and NBC Sports will be streaming it all live online, with television coverage on multiple networks, including NBCSN and NBC, among others.

The Brazilian duo of Larissa Franca and Talita Antunes will start off the action at 9 a.m. ET with a matchup against Russia’s Evgenia Ukolova and Ekaterina Birlova. Franca won a bronze medal at the 2012 Olympics in London and will look to earn gold on home soil this time around.

The American twosome of Lauren Fendrick and Brooke Sweat will make its Olympic debut in a match against Poland's Kinga Kołosińska and Monika Brzostek at 10 a.m. ET. Fendrick/Sweat is considered the United States' No. 2 team behind Kerri Walsh Jennings and April Ross.

The other big matchup for the Americans will come at 3:30 p.m. ET when 2008 Olympic gold medal winner Phil Dalhausser and Nick Lucena take on Tunisia’s Mohamed Arafet Naceur and Choaib Belhaj Salah.
