Paul George hopes to meet with French gymnast who suffered broken leg at Olympics

When Samir Alt Said broke his leg yesterday, a lot of NBA fans probably thought of the same thing: Paul George. George suffered a similarly horrifying injury in the run up to the FIBA World Cup in 2014. Now the Team USA and Pacers superstar is hoping to get a meeting with Said, presumably to offer some much needed words of encouragement and perspective.

Alt Said, a rings specialist, shattered his leg upon landing his vault during the team preliminaries. For his part going forward, he’s trying to stay positive. “Come on France. I’m behind all my pals,” he said in a video posted to his Facebook early Sunday morning.
