One of the best parts of the Olympics is having all-day sports action during the summer, and that’s precisely what you’ll get Tuesday with a loaded slate of competition. NBC Sports will be live streaming all of it online, so you’ll be able to catch whatever interests you in Rio.
Olympics 2016 live stream: How to watch Tuesday online through NBC Sports
It’s a big day in Rio as Michael Phelps and Simone Biles look to cash in on Olympic glory.
Fans will have no shortage of big events to watch. In the afternoon, the U.S. gymnastics team will go for gold in the women’s team all-around final. Hyped 19-year-old Simone Biles will lead the way for the Americans in that event as they look to repeat the success of the Fierce Five from four years ago.
At night, Michael Phelps will take center stage once again as he races in the men’s 200-meter butterfly final. Phelps earned the silver medal in this event at the 2012 Olympics in London and will look to get revenge by taking the gold in Rio. Other swimming finals on Tuesday night are the women’s 200-meter freestyle, women’s 200-meter individual medley and men’s 4x200-meter freestyle relay.
And if swimming or gymnastics aren’t your thing, the rest of the day offers tons of other exciting games and matches to watch.
The U.S. men’s national basketball team doesn’t play Tuesday, but hoops fans will still get treated to a great matchup in the afternoon between Brazil and Spain. The Spanish team features NBA stars like Pau Gasol, Ricky Rubio and Nikola Mirotic, while Brazil boasts Nenê, Leandro Barbosa, Raul Neto and Cristiano Felício. It’s not quite the star-studded affair that occurs any time Team USA takes the court, but for basketball fans looking to get their fix, this is a quality matchup.
Soccer fans will also have a game worth tuning in for as the Americans take on Colombia in their final group stage match. The U.S. is looking to defend its gold medal in women’s soccer this year led by star forward Carli Lloyd.
