Jimmy Garoppolo is auditioning for Tom Brady’s job by throwing it to himself

The perfect pass.

We assumed that Patriots quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo would be under center for New England against the Arizona Cardinals. We thought he would be an adequate substitute for Tom Brady (anybody know why he’s not playing?) but we didn’t expect this.

Not only did he have the lead against the Cardinals in the third quarter, he may be auditioning to replace Brady with his perplexing passing abilities. Just look at how he launched a pass and it landed directly into the hands of, um, himself.

Scratch that. Garoppolo isn’t auditioning for Brady’s job. Better yet, he’s working on a gritty remake of the 1990s Mr. Perfect WWF vignettes. Now that’s a pass!

Steve Jordan would approve.
