Louisville receiver stuns Florida State by catching deflected pass between his knees

Everything is going Louisville’s way against Florida State ... everything. In the second quarter, receiver James Quick seemed like he wasn’t going to make a sideline catch when a Seminoles DB dove at the ball, but he did — just not with his hands.
The ball became lodged between Quick’s knees after the deflection. From there he just needed to pluck it from his thighs, trundle down the field and almost score before being tackled. It didn’t even matter that Quick didn’t make it into the end zone, because the Cardinals did on the following series.
Lee Corso was on the sideline and couldn’t believe it.
This could be a secret weapon for Louisville. Lord knows they dropped enough passes against Syracuse to last them all season, so the knee catch or thigh catch is a way to get around those issues.
